Shawn Parker bears a distinction reserved for a short list of the World’s best DJs.  When Shawn or his supporters are asked what “kind of music” he plays, there is one resounding answer: “The good kind.”  While so many DJs over-specialize into niche markets that serve to segregate listeners, Shawn Parker brings his audience together with his unique ability to weave through genres as if to create one harmonious musical tapestry.  Passion and love are the needle and thread that sew his consistent offerings of soul-stirring music and rhythm.

Time and time again, Shawn has proven what the power of putting the audience first can do, with sets as diverse as he is inspired.  Since his 1990 premiere in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he has headlined with many of the nation's top DJs, maintained multiple residencies and has enjoyed performing in more than 14 major cities, both stateside and overseas.   This cumulative experience is now being used to add strength to the Los Angeles underground music culture while paying homage to his roots in New Mexico.

Shawn's growing list of production credits includes original releases and remixes for Fragrant Records, Rampant Records, Plastik Records, and other respected labels.  His discography boasts many commercially available titles, including the Dayspring Collective's "Spark," which Shawn co-produced with J. Scott G. and Jason Blum of Deepsky.  "Spark" is recognized as the album that showcased Deepsky's "Stargazer" and catapulted Deepsky to the top of American dance music culture.  Recently, his Desert Sol remix of Money Shot captivated audiences and DJs alike, with its unique flavor and powerful groove and is highly sought after within the underground community.  With several new top secret projects underway in the Desert Sol Audio Incubator (Shawn’s studio), the best is yet to come as many of today’s top producers and DJs eagerly await their arrival.
